Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting the Fab Alert Discord Bot to your server, executing slash commands (such as /fab or /clear), or accessing the web interface at fabalert.vercel.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the bot.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Fab Alert solely for lawful and intended purposes. You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or execute Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against the Fab Alert API or webhook endpoints.
• Circumvent or tamper with rate-limiting controls (60 requests/minute per IP).
• Reverse engineer or exploit bot interactions to spam channels or harass users.
• Misrepresent Fab Alert as an official product of Epic Games or Fab.

3. Discord Bot Usage & Guidelines

Your use of Fab Alert within Discord must comply at all times with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.

The bot requests only the minimal permissions necessary to operate (View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History, Use Application Commands, Send Messages in Threads). You are responsible for ensuring that the bot's configured alert channel complies with your server's own rules.

4. Service Availability & Accuracy

Fab Alert is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind:

• Marketplace Dependency: Promotional asset data is retrieved from public Fab.com marketplace endpoints. If Fab.com alters its endpoints, experiences downtime, or changes promotion schedules, alerts may be delayed or unavailable.
• No Guarantee of Asset Availability: Fab Alert is an alert mechanism and does not grant licenses or guarantee that an asset remains free on Fab.com. You are responsible for claiming assets directly on Fab.com before promotions end.
• Uptime: While we utilize distributed serverless edge infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers and Vercel) designed for high reliability, we do not guarantee 100% uninterrupted uptime.

5. Independent Project & Trademark Disclaimer

Fab Alert is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. or Fab.

Unreal Engine, Fab, and Epic Games are registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere. All product names, logos, and brands displayed in marketplace previews are property of their respective creators and copyright holders.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Cyronic Studio, Neel Frostrain, or project contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the bot or website.
• Missed promotional deadlines or assets that reverted to regular pricing.
• Service disruptions, network latency, or Discord API outages.

7. Termination

You may terminate your relationship with Fab Alert at any time by running /fab unsubscribe and removing the bot from your Discord server.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the bot or API endpoints for any server or user that engages in malicious behavior, spamming, or violation of these Terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service as new features are added. Updates will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
